The Maritime Spatial Planning Forum: Global Meets Regional took place on 19-21 November 2019 in Riga, Latvia, and served as a joint event for the 4th International MSPforum, 3rd Baltic MSP Forum as well as the final conference of the Pan Baltic Scope project. The focus was on global and regional MSP topics, including the results and findings of the Pan Baltic Scope collaboration.

It was organized together by UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission, VASAB, Pan Baltic Scope and European Commission’s Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.

Activities included:

  • A key-note speech on the conclusions of the IPCC Report on the Ocean and Cryosphere in a Changing Climate
  • Four plenaries
  • Twelve workshops
  • MSP Fair with networking, pitch stage and exhibition area
