In the framework of the development of recommendations to promote the exchange of knowledge and practices on Marine Spatial Planning (MSP) at international level, MSPglobal is organizing a series of online events over the course of February, March and April 2021 to share national MSP processes from different regions.
More specifically, these events seek to improve exchanges amongst governmental agencies, scientists, policy makers and stakeholders on good practices and lessons learned with regard to MSP implementation at national and regional scale, as well as to identify collaboration opportunities between Member States in the context of the Joint Roadmap to accelerate MSP processes worldwide.
Various topics covered during the sessions include:
- Sharing of national practices amongst different interested groups
- Identification of challenges and opportunities
- Assessments of existing and future conditions
- Effective participation of public and private stakeholders
- Synergies and conflicts amongst users
