Legal framework
There is currently no legal framework for MSP in Myanmar. However, the Wildlife Conservation Society is working with the National Coastal Resource Management Committee to build capacity in MSP implementation, and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation has made strong commitments to a national level Marine Spatial Plan at the 2017 and 2019 Our Oceans Conferences.
