The training workshop (“Taller de desarrollo de capacidades en Planificación Espacial Marina”) is organized as part of the GEF project “Governance Strengthening for the Management and Protection of Coastal- Marine Biodiversity in Key Ecological Areas and the Implementation of the Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries (EAF)”.
The IOC-UNESCO, through MSPglobal, will be in charge of the second day focusing on the pre-planning phase of Marine Spatial Planning (MSP), as well as to simulate a planning process through the use of the MSP Challenge boarding game, during which participants will be asked to define their country’s vision, objectives, indicators, actions, stakeholders and risks for short and long-term.
Participants will be representatives from different Ministries (Interior, Security, Defense, Environment, Economy, Health), academia and maritime clusters.
