Legal framework
Currently Brazil does not have a specific legislation on MSP. However, during the execution of the Marine Spatial Planning Pilot Project for the Southern Marine Region of the country, a proposal of legislation specifically for MSP will be prepared, which may be a decree, a law or even a proposed amendment to the constitution.
