Building on existing synergies and collaboration between Spain and Portugal in the field of Maritime/Marine Spatial Planning, over 110 participants met in Vigo, Spain, to share expertise and best practices from 12 to 15 May 2019 during the third edition of the International Forum for MSP.
Activities included:
> Three plenaries on “How to do a marine spatial plan”, “Data, information and tools for MSP” and “MSP transboundary synergies”
> Three technical workshops on “Identifying good practices for MSP implementation at national and transboundary scale”, “Data, indicators and tools for MSP” and “Recommendations to solve conflicts and cooperation”
> Full day for outreach during which participants met and interviewed local stakeholders in order to better understand their needs, concerns, synergies, etc.
