On 9-10 December 2021, a workshop organized in the framework of the MSProadmap will gather representatives from national authorities, academia, civil society and the private sector in Tangier (Morocco) to discuss the path toward the development of a Blue Economy at national scale, as well as the contribution of Marine Spatial Planning.
In Morocco, as elsewhere in the world, the Blue Economy offers great prospects and is a particularly promising development lever, in particular as the country boasts more than 3,500 km of coastline and is located at the crossroads of major international maritime routes.

The MSPglobal Western Mediterranean Roadmap on Marine Spatial Planning and Sustainable Blue Economy, endorsed by the WestMED Initiative Steering Committee in June 2021, can also serve as a complement to these documents.
